Arrakis v2 by ~i0nah

Hello,

2nd attempt to create a planetary view of Arrakis (aka Dune) - this time with a Coriolis Storm !!!!

Same process as for v1 : GoogleMap pictures patch-worked together and then spherized, the Coriolis storm is as well taken out of a picture from any good-looking shoot made by a Guild weather-control satellite.

The planet itself is badass, but the lack of shadow is unfortunately disturbing and it breaks the picture a lil bit. Often that shadow kicks the work 2 levels up

Just kidding. Never thought about a sandstorm looking like a Hurricane, but I guess it makes sense. Keep up the good work, you are on the right track. Certianly better than I could do.

thanks for your motivational words.
using a satellite picture of an hurricane was - for me - the easiest way to represent the idea of a violent/powerful (sand)storm seen from the sky. just added some colourization to give the sand/dust aspect.
